Sensation Western Sport Trail Model G4

Finally, the latest addition to the Sensation stable of saddles has arrived. Our riders that prefer a Western look will be pleased to know that the G4 Western Trail model weighs in at only approximately 11 lbs. depending upon your choice of leather. Even though the base length of approximately 24" is a bit longer in appearance because of the decorative skirting, the bearing surface for the horse is still only 19" taking the same replaceable panels that are standard in all Sensation models. The bottom of the saddle comes in the Sensation signature fully breathable, easy care wool melton. Stirrup leathers are 2" wide available in short, medium and long lengths as well as short or standard length fenders. The innovative design of the fenders slide up and down the 2" stirrup leathers for optimal rider placement. Rigging is sized western, but comes with english dressage billets for that extra close contact comfort riders have asked for as well as providing the ultimate in load spread for the horse. Sizing is15" & 16" as standard with 14" available for extra charge/ extra wait time. Five (5) O rings (including a crupper ring) and four (4) O rings in front to accomodate either an english hunt style or western breast plate complete the package. As with all Sensation models, a cantle bolster for shortening the seat from the rear or a pommel bolster for shprtening the seat from the front while also providing a rise to the pommel are available upon request. Hand carry strap is included.

The Western Sport Trail model Sensation Ride offers almost all the features of a traditional treed western (minus the horn). The small footprint of this saddle suits short-backed horses particularly well. A 3.5" tall, wrap around cantle provides a feeling of security for the rider's seat, while the upright 12" swells provide greater thigh freedom without compromising security.

The rigging of this saddle is a dropped 3 billet system. This type of rigging has proven to be more adaptable and lower profile than the traditional western plate/ring rigging. The rider may use any of the 3 billets as a lower attachment for the stirrup leather anchor, making the stirrup position very adjustable. Longer length dressage girths would be used with this saddle.

The Western Sport Trail features 9 rings as standard equipment. This includes rings to accommodate both western and English breastplates, as well as rings for crupper and saddle packs.

This model is suited to any riders who appreciate a western look and feel to their saddle and wish to have a very lightweight western option. Almost any size of rider would be able to use this Sensation Ride as there are many options for fender and seat sizing.

Available in various choices of smooth to grippy leathers - check with your dealer for the latest offerings. Hardware choices are Stainless steel or solid brass.

Standard sizes on this model would be 15" or 16" with 14" being semi-custom.
